Austin City Photo Booth started in 2012 out of my love for photography, movies and documentaries. I’ve always been drawn to the idea of documenting a moment and preserving a small piece of time.

I’ve always loved documentaries, especially the way David Attenborough tells stories with patience and respect for what he’s documenting, giving you a glimpse into a place and moment you may have never seen otherwise. That always stuck with me because there’s something special about capturing a moment while it’s happening and preserving a little piece of history.

With my Degree in Cultural Anthropology and my creative background in photography, I began to see events in a similar way, just on a smaller scale. Every event has its own little culture. The people, personalities, fashion, relationships, inside jokes and energy all exist together for a few hours and then they’re gone. 

Over the years, our small team has become a huge part of what Austin City Photo Booth is. Together we’ve captured some incredible moments, taken on some pretty creative ideas and worked alongside brands, agencies and event professionals who have trusted us along the way. After 14 years, we’re more experienced and focused, but we’re still curious and excited to see where an idea can take us.
